You’re invited to a (women’s only) swamp to collectively process our devastation and grief over the loss of life on the Earth and the continued damage to our natural ecosystems.
I feel that as women, we have the capacity to take on so much — not only the details of our own lives, but in our bones we are also connected to our beloved Mama Earth and we feel her pain too.
While deep down we can feel the tug at our hearts over the decimation of biodiversity on this planet, sometimes this pain feels too raw, too deep, too scary to even go there. So avoid it. We numb and distract ourselves. We remain paralyzed in a fear state of overwhelm — how can we possibly hold this?! In this state of fear, we can’t act.
This swamp is an invitation to go there, in a safe way, to start to excavate those deep feelings of sadness, rage, grief, sorrow, and loss, so that we can move through it. Because when we feel it, we can heal it. We can be moved to loving action through our hearts.
I really believe that processing this loss is essential for us to be able to rebuild a thriving world for all and to learn to take better care of each other and the planet. And I feel that we women have immense power to transmute the pain into something beautiful.

What is a Swamp?
The swamp is a place to take up ALL the space with your emotions. This is a space to be a hot mess. To feel ALL THE FEELS and share them amongst sisterhood.
Swamping is the deliberate act of feeling your feelings - especially the dark ones we've been taught to ignore like rage, grief, devastation, anger. We were made to feel all the feelings yet we live in a world that rewards 'keeping it together'.
At the swamp, we’re going to give our feelings a seat at the table. We’re going to welcome them in and celebrate them.
If you’re cranky, overwhelmed, burnt out, sad, numb, resisting a tantrum, swamping is my #1 tool for getting things moving again.
We use music to bring you into the emotional state. So we’re going to play with our anger and grief and then we always end with turn on, joy and celebration to bring you home to your power.
Swamping could look like:
- Screaming into a pillow
- Punching a pillow or swinging your arms
- Kicking or stomping your legs
- Rolling around on the floor shaking like a child in a tantrum
