Warm Your Womb
What’s a Womb Warmer?
We wanted to create a product for women to bring warmth and comfort during their moon cycles to calm cramps and soothe their wombs. Each Womb Warmer is hand sewn in Colorado using a variety of upcycled Corte (Guatemalan Textiles) from a market in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. Guatemala is home to some of the most beautiful textiles in the world, all of which have been hand woven by women for generations.
Just 2 minutes in the microwave will heat up the Womb Warmer and deliver relaxing warmth to the womb. Womb Warmers can be reheated hundreds of times, and will keep you cozy and offer you relief for years to come.
My Womb Journey
I went off the birth control pill about two years ago, after having been on it for over 12 years. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. Since coming off, I’ve been able to connect with my body and menstrual rhythm more than ever before, and I’m proud to have moved from hating having a period to seeing it as one of the greatest gifts.
Now that I see the benefit of connecting with my menstrual cycle, I want to embrace all aspects of it, even the uncomfortable parts, like cramps. I don’t take pain killers, so when I do start experiencing cramps, I heat up my Womb Warmer and lay in bed with it and the weight and warmth brings me comfort and relief.
When my roommate started sneaking into my room to borrow it, I realized it was time to start making more to offer this same comfort to other women. I teamed up with my talented and sexy partner in crime (who made me the first womb warmer), and we have been sewing Womb Warmers together and making this dream a reality.
Wombs of the world, unite!
